Co-owner/CF-L3 Coach

Theresa Sbarra

Theresa Sbarra began her CrossFit journey in March of 2010 and knew almost immediately that this was more than just a workout program.  In fact, she signed up for her CrossFit Level 1 Seminar during her second week of CrossFit and earned her Level 1 certification just three months later.  What started as personal curiosity quickly turned into a career dedicated to coaching, education, and helping people become stronger, healthier, and more capable for life.

Over the past 15+ years, Theresa has coached athletes of all ages and abilities– from beginners who were afraid to walk through the door, to competitive athletes, to older adults who simply want to maintain independence and quality of life.  She believes that CrossFit, when coached well and scaled appropriately, is on of the most powerful tools in the world for improving health, confidence, and longevity.

Theresa is currently a Certified CrossFit Level 3 Trainer (CF-L3) and holds numerous CrossFit specialty certifications including: Kids, Advanced Gymnastics, Gymnastics, Endurance, Programming, Rowing, Scaling, and Spot the Flaw.  Her coaching focuses heavily on movement quality, appropriate scaling, long-term progression, and creating an environment where every athlete can be successful regardless of starting point.

In addition to her CrossFit certifications, Theresa has extensive education in nutrition and metabolic health.  She is a Certified Transformational Nutrition Coach, and RP Strength Nutrition Coach.  As a MetFix Affiliate owner, she believes strongly in metabolic health and completed the MetFix Foundations Seminar.  To be adapt at working with an older population, Theresa completed three classes through the Institute of Clinical Excellence and holds a certification in Modern Management of the Older Adult (MMOA).  In April of 2026, she became certified through the Adaptive Training Academy to being focusing on working with disabled Veterans.

Theresa is the co-owner of CrossFit 585 – MetFix Victor and is passionate about building not just a gym, but a community where people support each other, work hard, laugh often, and become stronger in every sense of the word.  She believes the goal of coaching is not just better workouts – but better lives, longer independence, and stronger communities.

Co-owner/CF-L2 Coach

Jeff Polo

Jeff is Co-Owner and Coach who brings a passion for fitness to the gym, every day. Originally born in Montana, he was raised in Big Flats, NY.  Jeff balances his recent retirement from his pre-sales engineer roles in the high-tech industry and his life in the gym.  He enjoys spending time with his two adult sons, Jake and James, and his amazing partner, Theresa.  When he is not at the gym, you can usually find him on the golf course, enjoying the outdoors, or relaxing with a good bourbon.

Jeff was introduced to CrossFit in 2012, by Theresa who knew he would benefit from something beyond traditional weightlifting.  The constantly varied workouts, improvements in overall conditioning, and the noticeable progress compared to just lifting kept him coming back.  He went on to get his CrossFit L2, CrossFit Kids, and MetFix Foundations certifications.

CF-L1 Coach

Jacky Arrow

Jacky is a fill-in bench coach who brings both coaching experience and a deep understanding of athlete development to the gym.  Originally from West Henrietta, Jacky recently returned to the area after spending the past 14 years outside of Fort Worth, Texas.  Outside of the gym, she works as a physical therapist specializing in youth and adolescent athletes.  She and her family love staying active together.  Her husband, Jonny, and her two kids enjoy attending sporting events, biking, hiking, skiing, snowboarding, and working out as a family.

Jacky first discovered CrossFit in 2011 and was immediately drawn to the variety of movements and the ability to get a great workout in within an hour.  What kept her coming back was the community and the friendships that come with it- people who support, encourage, and push each other to be better.  She began coaching Olympic weightlifting in 2016 and CrossFit in 2019 and holds her CrossFit L1 certification.  Jacky loves watching athletes grow stronger and discover their power, both physically and mentally.

Snatches are her favorite movement, while running is definitely a love-to-hate relationship (she’ll do it… but complain the whole time!).  A fun fact about Jacky is that she was a snowboard instructor in college and is excited to be back in the Northeast.  Her coaching philosophy is simple: “More Than Nothing”.  Even on tough days when you’re not at 100%, showing up and doing something – just more than nothing – adds up over time.  Her advice to new members is to stay consistent and keep showing up for yourself.

CF-L2 Coach/CrossFit Kids Coach

Jonny Arrow

Jonny Arrow is a CrossFit Level 2 Coach and CrossFit Kids Coach who brings a deep passion for fitness, coaching, and community to the gym.  Originally from Vestal, NY, Jonny spent the last 14 years living in Fort Worth, Texas before returning to the area with his family.  Outside of the gym, he loves spending time outdoors, stand-up paddleboarding, mountain biking, skiing, camping, and exploring nature.  When he’s not outside, you’ll likely find him enjoying board games and video games with his family – favorites include Mario Kart, Mario Party, Dungeons & Dragons and Magic the Gathering.

Jonny first got into CrossFit in 2011 after his wife, Jacky, convinced him to try a class.  Although he was skeptical at first, one workout was all it took to get hooked.  The intensity of the workouts and the strong sense of community kept him coming back.  He began coaching in 2014 after earning his CrossFit L1 and has since bult an impressive list of certifications including: CrossFit L2, Kids, Weightlifting, Gymnastics, Strongman, USAW Sports Performance Coach and a Bachelor’s degree in Strength and Conditioning.  Jonny loves helping athletes realize that fitness can be fun and that their bodies are capable of far more than they often believe.

His favorite movements are the snatch and the clean and jerk, and his favorite workout is Murph because of the powerful community experience it creates.  Running, however, remains his love-to=hate movement.  A fun fact about Jonny is that he’s an expert skier who loves tackling double black diamonds, bowls, glades, and backcountry terrain – often taking trips to Colorado to ski the Rockies while living in Texas.  His coaching philosophy centers around helping people live healthier and happier lives through lifelong fitness.  His advice for new members is simple; there are no quick fixes – consistence is what truly drives long-term results.

CF-L2 Coach

Mike Decker

Mike Decker, originally from Port Byron, NY, discovered CrossFit through an online ad and was hooked within two weeks.  What kept him coming back was the supportive community and competitive atmosphere that quickly turned into lasting friendships.

He earned his L1 in 2018 at CrossFit Taproot and now holds a CrossFit Level 2 certification.  As a coach, Mike’s favorite part is seeing athletes light up when they hit a new PR or finally master a skill – helping people believe in themselves is what drives him most.

Outside the gym, Michal works in IT/Cyber Security and loves being a “cheer dad,” hiking, camping, and spending time outdoors.  His favorite movements are heavy barbell work, double unders, and rope climbs (though he’ll admit the Echo bike is his nemesis).

Advice for new members: “Focus on form first, be patient, and trust the process”.

CF-L2 Coach

Karin Jones

Karin Jones, originally from Homer, NY, has lived in Victor for the past  16 years with her partner Aaron, her two college-aged kids, Reese and Jack, and their Boxer, Olive.  Outside the gym, Karin works as a health teacher at Victor Junior High School.

A former marathon runner, Karin found CrossFit in 2015 and was drawn to its variety, challenge, and community.  She became an L1 trainer in 2018 and earned her L2 in 2022.  What she loves most about coaching is helping people become 1% better every day and knowing she’s making an impact.

Her favorite movement is rope climbs, something she once couldn’t do in school, while wall balls remain her “love to hate” workout.

Her advice for new members: “Just show up.  Getting in the door is the hardest part, but what you gain is priceless.”

CF-L2 Coach

Casey Henderson

Casey is a CrossFit Level 2 Trainer with a passion for helping athletes of all levels unlock their potential, whether that’s getting their first pull-up, dialing in their Olympic lifts, or simply moving better in everyday life.

With a background in competitive fitness and a love for community, Casey thrives on creating an environment where hard work feels fun and everyone feels like they belong.  Her coaching style blends technical precision with tough love motivation, making sure athletes push past their comfort zone while staying safe and confident.

Outside the gym, Casey is a full-time working mom who believes in leading by example-proving that discipline, consistency, and a strong support system can carry over into every area of life.  Her mission is simple: to help people discover their strength, build resilience, and realize they’re capable of are more than they think.

CF-L2 Coach

Doug O'Neil

Douglas O’Neil, originally from Miami, Florida, is a CrossFit Level 2 Coach.  Outside the gym, he’s an accountant with a long career in the construction industry and a devoted family man-married to his wife Cheryl for over 25 years with 2 children, Sam and Anna, who are both active in sports and CrossFit.

He first turned to CrossFit to improve his fitness and loved the challenge, accountability, and community it provided.  Douglas began coaching in North Carolina and has spent the last three years coaching at CrossFit 585.  He holds both CrossFit L2 and USAW L2 certifications, and his favorite part of coaching is celebrating athlete’s “firsts” from new PRs to competition milestones.

Douglas enjoys high-endurance workouts like DT and team WODs (though he avoids long distance running).  Fun fact: he once survived a piranha bite. His philosophy is simple – “Try hard, give your best effort, enjoy the journey, and don’t be afraid to fail.”

Advice for new members:  “Just try-every movement can be scaled to your level”.
